The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) needed a statewide homeownership campaign that was fun, friendly and highlighted their single-family homeownership programs. IFA wanted to remind Iowans that financing a new home could be simple and enjoyable, and they shouldn’t believe every homebuying myth they’ve heard. Our creative combined simple homeownership tips (dryer sheets can remove crayon marks from walls) with wise homebuying advice (needing 20% for a down payment is a myth).

Targeted digital gifs ensured the advertising reached the ideal audience. Ads linked to the campaign website, where Iowans could play a game to learn more House Wise tips and be entered to win the Wiser Home contest. IFA ambassadors engaged with Iowans at statewide events like festivals and minor league baseball games. Ambassadors used a colorful “Wiser Home” display and distributed brochures with Instant Win scratch off codes. Targeted direct mail pieces, a Pandora radio spot, and a TV commercial rounded out the multifaceted campaign tactics.
